First Snow!

We went hiking!

Nebo here, we wanted to post some pics from our other hikes. The first one was from back in August, mom is a bit delayed as usual, the other was from a few weeks ago. We LOVE hiking! Squirrels and deer and all sorts of critters to chase...well, at least want to chase (stupid leashes).

I have to look back to make sure the humans are still coming...they have to practically drag themselves up the trail, its pathetic really...

Shortly after that picture Keva got loose and went tearing down the mountain. You should have seen the humans going crazy, it was really quite entertaining. We ran down the trail (honestly I didn't think people were capable of running that fast!) and finally caught up with her. Keva just figured mom needed a little exercise...we huskies have to keep them on their toes of course.

Remembering Rosie

Recently a good friend of ours passed away...her name was Rosie. Mom has "known" Rosie through her mom Rachel from the time she was a little pup.

In 2003 Nebo even went on a road trip to Ohio and met Rosie and her husky sister Anna

Rest peacefully at the bridge, Rosie, you are happy and painfree now. We will miss you!

Why dogs shouldn't eat bees

It's Keva, mom said I should post these photos to warn all the other dogs. All flying or jumping insects...ok or crawling for that matter...are potential snacks. I try to eat as many as possible. Moths are especially tasty, I jump in the air to get at them. However watch out for the flying black and yellow ones...whenever I eat one of those this happens:


I always get a gob of cheese when this happens, don't know why (is mom hiding something in it?), but it seems to help. So I think all humans should feed dogs cheese daily as a preventative measure. Nebo approves of that too.
